Who are Lacara?

Lacara is an established brand in the media industry. Sister company Lacara child model and talent agency  was established in February 2016 and since then have become a leading supplier of child models to the photographic and TV  industry for major brands such as Gucci, Next, Asda, Tesco, Saisburys, Marks and Spencer Halifax, Malteasers Etc  In February 2021 lacara pets was launched after much demand from industry professionals.

Who will see the profile?

Lacara work with lots of producers and directors in the media industry who are seeking pet superstars for their next project. This could be a TV advert, film, social media, magazines, fashion, billboard advertising etc

Does it matter where I live?

A vast majority of work takes place in London. Therefore it is advantageous to be within easy access to London. However over the recent years lots more productions are taking place throughout the UK.

Does the dog require training?

All dogs entering into the industry need to be friendly and sociable. Some clients may require a certain breed that are renowned to be very obedient and easy to train. Some clients may be looking for a certain breed of dog more for their look rather than ability. Some clients may need dogs to perform certain tricks such as roll over, shutting eyes, laying down etc.

So providing your dog has a certain level of obedience and is friendly they will have a chance of being selected for work. Before being confirmed for a job they will be required to demonstrate their abilities and talents by video or live zoom meetings with the director, producer or photographer.

Does it matter what breed my dog is or what they look like?

Not at all. All dog breeds and all looks are considered. It all depends on what the client is looking for to fit their project. Ability will not always be the overriding factor if they really find the perfect look.

How long is my dog /animal required for?

This is impossible to answer as some shoots may only take one morning or your dog may be the next star in a tv soap!

How much will my dog be paid?

Clients will contact us with their requests and their budget. This can be as little as £30 per hour or it may be £600 per day. This will all be discussed when we contact you depending on what the client budget is.

Can you guarantee my dog/animal work?

Sadly no agency can guarantee work for animals or humans! As agents we never know what daily requests we will be receiving from our clients and sadly we do not choose the animal, the client does.
